Skype For Business Clear Conversation History On Mac
Hello, With a recent update to Skype for Business on the Mac, our users are seeing previous conversations displayed when they create new conversations. For example, I had a SFB conversation with a co-worker on April 11th. Today, when I choose to start a conversation with this co-worker, I see that conversation listed in the conversation window, even though this is a new conversation unrelated to the previous one. Worse, when today's conversation is saved to conversation history, it includes the conversation from April 11th! It makes it extremely difficult to search through conversations, because the relevant part of new conversation starts in the middle of the saved message. We have looked through the preferences, but don't see any way to turn off this new 'feature'.
I understand that the conversation history will be stored on user's mailbox under conversation folder. But may I know if there is a central repository for us to get the IM log info on O365? I just guess there should be other place to store the IM log/history, e.g. If the user only enabled with Skype for business but not email, so how the user. Hello, With a recent update to Skype for Business on the Mac, our users are seeing previous conversations displayed when they create new conversations. The conversations tab in the main skype window is useless beyond a link to outlook, and the conversation history format in outlook is hopelessly obtuse to use. This behavior only affects the Mac SFB client. The Windows SFB client does not display previous conversation history. Has anybody else seen this feature and figured out a way to turn it off? Thanks in advance. Hi Steve, Did this issue only appear on the specific client? I did a test on SFB for MAC, it works fine. Based on my research, there is no option in SFB on MAC to modify if you could display conversation history with previous conversation history when you open a new window.

We just got another update, so the version is 16.6.333. The update uninstalls the previous version. As an example of the problem, I have attached a screen shot. I haven't had a conversation with Andy since Monday. When I choose to start a conversation with him today (Thursday) I still see our conversation from Monday. I have restarted my computer at least 4 times since then, so it's not some leftover in the application.
Adobe suite free. SFB is purposely displaying the conversation history. Hi steve, Thanks for your response. For test purpose, we suggest you reinstall the SFB MAC client on one computer test if the issue persists.

I just had another user ask about this issue today. It's been 6 months, and we still have this problem occurring with the Mac version of Skype for Business. Unlike the Windows version, which starts a new conversation with a blank canvas, the Mac version continues to pollute the beginning of the conversation with leftovers from earlier conversations. This makes the Conversation History feature in Outlook next to useless, as the same conversation appears in multiple messages. It's difficult to tell where the new conversation begins. Surely somebody at Microsoft has seen this issue by now.
